Marketing Specialist/Copywriter

We are looking for a part-time, contract Marketing Specialist / Copywriter to help us with our digital marketing efforts. Working under the Senior Director of Marketing, this contract role will assist in the execution of HIPAAtrek’s marketing strategy. This individual will participate in the planning, building and implementation of digital marketing campaigns across multiple channels and platforms using organic search campaigns, email marketing, social media, and other channels to increase awareness of our HIPAA compliance solutions.


Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Write marketing copy for podcast descriptions, website content, email campaigns, blog posts, and case studies etc.
  • Write and schedule posts for social media using scheduling software. Design social media posts using pre-approved templates in Canva or Adobe Illustrator.
  • Support creation of new branded collateral and update current collateral to new pre-approved templates. Edit copy to align with brand voice and strategic goals.
  • Support brand development and branding initiatives.
  • Support internal communications and company culture initiatives.
  • Manage and update listings on software review sites and encourage reviews from customers to support company profile on review sites.
  • Support creation of customer case studies.
  • In conjunction with the Senior Director, brainstorm ideas for creative marketing campaigns.
  • Assist in outbound marketing activities by participating in various areas of content development and optimization, promotion, events planning, etc.
  • Assist in analyzing marketing data (campaign results, conversion rates, traffic etc.) to help shape future marketing strategies.

Skills/Experience:

  • Associate degree, or BS/BA in marketing, mass communications, or equivalent.
  • Prior experience working as a marketing specialist and / or copywriter.
  • Proven B2B writing skills; demonstrable ability to write marketing copy. Request candidates provide three writing samples: i.e., sample copy, web site content, blog posts, etc.
  • Previous writing experience in a B2B environment required.
  • Understanding of marketing elements including digital marketing such as SEO / social media, etc.
  • Solid computer and technology skills, including MS Office suite experience and CRM or email marketing software. Experience with Canva or Adobe Suite a plus.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Experience in a B2B SaaS environment preferred, experience in the healthcare industry a plus.
  • Well-organized and detail oriented.
  • A self-starter with an eagerness and willingness to learn.

The ideal contractor will be able to contribute between 10-20 hours a week (on average); contract role is fully remote within the USA. Option for role to expand to full time employment as the company grows.
