We are pleased to announce that we have a new member of the HIPAAtrek board of directors, John Feikema.
John brings a wealth of industry knowledge and experience to the role, having served as the President and CEO of Ability Network (formerly known as VisionShare), from 2001 to 2010 and as President and Chief Strategy Officer from 2010 to 2012. In that time, he helped grow VisionShare from a security consulting practice to the leading provider of a secure national healthcare information network. Ability Network was later acquired by Inovalon in 2018 for $1.2 billion.
Effective October 27, 2022, he replaces David Christenson, who has served for 4 years on the HIPAAtrek board of directors. We are grateful for the guidance David has offered during his time on the board, and look forward to welcoming a new perspective to lead us in this next phase as a company.

Appointed CEO in 2021, Amy Coulter has focused on judicious hiring, product development, and growing our sales team. This addition to our board of directors represents the latest in exciting strategic initiatives aimed at positioning HIPAAtrek as the premiere HIPAA compliance software in the United States.
Prior to his work with Ability, John worked at CDXC, Imation, and 3M in executive and management roles.
Currently, he is the principal at Feikema and Associates, where he has provided consulting services for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of the National Coordinator for Healthcare IT.
John has served on numerous business-related boards throughout his career, and currently sits on the Board of Directors of Ploughshares Fund, a 501c3 organization focused on reducing the threat of nuclear weapons.
