We are pleased to announce that we have a new Chief Executive Officer at HIPAAtrek, Amy Coulter.
Amy comes to us with a wealth of industry knowledge and experience, having co-founded a successful health technology company, Ability Network (formerly VisionShare), in 2000, which was acquired by Inovalon in 2018 for $1.2 billion.
After joining the HIPAAtrek Board in 2018 and becoming the VP of Operations for the company in early 2021, this new position is a natural next step for Amy and the entire HIPAAtrek team.
Our founder and former CEO, Sarah Badahman, will move into a new position as President of HIPAAtrek, with a focus on product development and customer education.
“I could not be more honored that Amy accepted my invitation to join HIPAAtrek as CEO” Sarah said. “She’s a great fit for our goals as a company and I am excited to refocus my energy on thought leadership by sharing my expertise with our customers.”

Amy’s appointment is just one reflection of a new era of growth for HIPAAtrek, following the unveiling of our new logo and visual branding in September. We are excited about the new opportunities this strategic transition presents to all of us at HIPAAtrek.
Throughout her time with Ability Network, Amy worked to build collaboration between teams, as well as employee satisfaction. With a belief in the power of a great team, Amy is focused on creating enrichment opportunities, building connections among our remote team, and supporting employees in finding their ideal position on the team.
“I truly believe that the best teams are made up of people who are doing what they love and contributing to the overall success of the company,” Amy said.
Amy is poised to build HIPAAtrek into the premiere HIPAA compliance software in the United States.
Her initial focus will be on supporting our existing team; making focused, strategic hires; and supporting our sales and product development teams to meet their goals.
